IT expertise with roots – independent of hyperscalers
At Synaedge, you not only get intelligent security systems but also the technical foundation on which they are securely operated. Our roots lie in VirtualTec Solutions AG, which we have been operating as an independent Internet Service Provider since 2008. We operate our own data center infrastructure in certified data centers across Europe and connect our locations directly, without detours through third-party providers or cloud corporations. As a member of SwissIX, the leading internet exchange in Switzerland, we guarantee minimal latency, stable network quality, and full control over your systems – from the edge to the analysis.
Data protection starts with the choice of infrastructure.
If you run Vaidio on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google, you can technically use video analysis – but you lose security, transparency, and control over central parts of the AI. The risk increases significantly: black-box behavior, unclear data processing, and potential data leakage are hard to rule out – even though Vaidio itself is a transparent system. This is because, with hyperscalers, the underlying infrastructure follows foreign standards, is often not fully auditable, and, in case of doubt, is legally vulnerable – for example, due to the US CLOUD Act, even when hosting in Europe. Synaedge deliberately takes a different path: we run our cloud solution ourselves – on our own infrastructure in Europe. Your data remains under your control – we have no access to your recordings or analyses.

Your video and metadata remain fully in your hands – they are neither shared with third parties nor processed on US-based cloud platforms.
You retain control at all times over where your data is stored, how long it is retained, and who has access to it.
