2. Purposes and legal basis
We process personal data to provide this website, respond to inquiries and protect our systems. The information required for this depends on the respective purpose.
The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) apply. In particular, the following legal bases apply to processing governed by the GDPR:
- Inquiries about a contract: We process the information required to prepare or perform a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). This applies when you are, or intend to become, a party to that contract.
- Other communication, website operations and statistics: The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, operating a secure website and improving our services (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We take your rights and interests into account.
- Legal obligations: Where we must retain or disclose information to comply with a legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR applies.
- Consent: Where processing requires your consent, we obtain it for the relevant purpose (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw your consent at any time with future effect.
3. Website, hosting and server logs
The website runs on server infrastructure in Switzerland. A request may generate technical log data, including the IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, HTTP status, browser and operating system. We use this data to deliver the website, analyse errors and prevent misuse.
Server logs are only stored for as long as necessary for operation, security and traceability and are then deleted or anonymized unless a legal obligation requires longer storage.
4. Contact form and communication
Through the contact form, we collect your name, email address, selected language, subject and message. Company, city, country and telephone number are optional. Required fields are marked in the form; the form cannot be submitted without them.
We use this data to route your enquiry to the responsible team and respond to it. The form sends the information by email. The form email may also include the submission time, the page containing the form, your IP address and browser information. Separate storage in Elementor’s form database is not enabled for this form.
Acknowledging the privacy policy records that you have read the information about data processing. It does not constitute consent to advertising. A hidden field helps detect automated spam submissions; no external CAPTCHA service is used.
We retain communications for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry, manage any resulting business relationship, or meet statutory documentation and retention obligations. We then delete data that is no longer required.
5. Fonts, images and videos
The Anton and Roboto Condensed fonts are loaded from our web server, without a connection to Google Fonts. Embedded images and videos are also delivered through our website.
When these files are requested, the technical connection data described in the section on hosting and server logs is generated.
6. Website analytics with WP Statistics
We use WP Statistics to understand which pages are visited and how the website is used. This helps us improve its content and technology. Analytics data is stored in our WordPress database, and sharing usage data with the plugin provider is disabled.
The analytics system operates without tracking cookies. IP addresses are truncated and hashed for statistical storage, creating a technical identifier with an additional value that changes daily. These measures reduce the possibility of linking visits to individuals. The identifier is used to group page views statistically within a single day.
We record the pages visited, the time of the visit, the referring website and derived information about the browser, device and operating system. The analytics system does not store full IP addresses, complete browser identifiers or WordPress user IDs. We respect your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting.
Automatic aggregation is set to 90 days: older detailed data is deleted during the scheduled daily clean-up. Aggregated visitor and page-view figures for the website and individual pages are retained. This setting applies only to analytics data, not to server logs or contact enquiries.
7. Cookies and browser storage
We currently use no analytics or marketing cookies on publicly accessible pages. WordPress may store a session entry indicating whether your browser supports certain emoji characters. This entry contains no visitor identifier and is deleted when the browser session ends.
Essential login cookies are used when authorised users sign in to WordPress. These cookies are separate from visits to the public website.
You can delete or restrict cookies and stored website data in your browser settings. This may limit individual functions, such as signing in.
8. External links and social networks
We currently embed no YouTube videos, Google Analytics, advertising pixels or social media trackers. External websites and social networks are available through standard links.
When you open an external or sharing link, the relevant provider processes technical connection data. The URL of the shared article and whether you are signed in to that provider may also be relevant. The provider’s privacy policy governs any further processing.
The “Copy link” function copies an article URL to the clipboard only after you select it. It does not send the link to a social network.
9. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. This includes, in particular, encrypted transmission via HTTPS, access restrictions, updates, data backup and measures against unauthorised access. Despite appropriate measures, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
10. Disclosure and processing abroad
We generally process personal data in Switzerland and the European Economic Area. We disclose it to other recipients only where this is necessary for a stated purpose or required by law. For transfers to countries without an adequate level of data protection, we use appropriate safeguards or rely on a statutory exception.
11. Your data protection rights
Your rights depend on the applicable data protection law and its legal requirements. They include in particular:
- Access: You can find out whether and which personal data we process about you.
- Rectification and erasure: You can correct incorrect information and have data that is no longer required deleted. Legal retention obligations may prevent immediate deletion.
- Restriction and objection: Where the legal requirements are met, you may request restriction of processing or object to the processing.
- Data portability: Where provided by law, you may receive certain data in a commonly used electronic format or have it transmitted to another controller.
- Withdrawal of consent: You may withdraw consent at any time with future effect. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Objection under the GDPR
Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). We will stop the relevant processing unless compelling legitimate grounds override your interests or the processing is required to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. You may object to direct marketing at any time without stating such grounds.
How to contact us
Please contact us using the contact details in Section 1. If there are reasonable doubts about your identity, we may request additional information necessary for identity verification. Please do not send us a copy of your ID as a precaution.
You may also contact the competent supervisory authority. In Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). Where the GDPR applies, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, particularly in the country of your habitual residence or place of work, or where the alleged infringement occurred.
12. Changes to this policy
We update this privacy policy when the website, the services used or legal requirements change. The version published here is the applicable version.
