21 AI engines · 3,000+ trained objects
One portfolio for security, operations and business intelligence.
Choose the application area that fits your task. Use your camera images for security, operations, traffic and targeted event searches.

Detect critical situations early.
Vaidio monitors defined zones and situations continuously and passes on relevant matches with camera, time and image context.
For example: a person enters a protected zone after operating hours. Your team receives the case with camera image, location and timestamp.

Assess access events in context.
Faces, credentials, number plates and visitor processes can be connected with existing access and security systems.
For example: a person stands in front of a protected entrance. You connect the visual check with your existing access system.

Find the relevant moment in the video.
Vaidio indexes structured metadata so operators can find relevant sequences much faster than by reviewing footage manually.
For example: you narrow an incident by camera, time period and visible attributes. Related images show the sequence.

Understand spaces and processes more clearly.
Movements, dwell times, conditions and material flows become metrics for planning, quality and operational improvement.
For example: a virtual line counts entries and exits. You can see when your spaces are used most heavily.

Detect vehicles. Understand traffic.
Vaidio combines traffic analytics with LPR, speed, parking management and cross-site investigation.
For example: a vehicle approaches an entrance. You evaluate the number plate, direction of movement and time window against your rules.

Monitor protection and safety in the workplace.
Vaidio supports continuous monitoring and timely intervention in workplace, healthcare and care environments.
For example: protective equipment is required in a work zone. The analytics check whether goggles and gloves are visibly worn.

From detection to action
How an image becomes
into a relevant event.
You decide which observations matter to your operation. Vaidio combines detections with time, location and your rules, through to review and the appropriate handover.
01Capture image
Suitable cameras provide images from your areas.
02Detect an event
Analytics inspect objects, movements and visible conditions.
03Verify context
Rules combine zone, time, duration and confirmation.
04Trigger an action
Your team or a connected system receives the relevant case.
Which conditions can be combined?
Define which objects and events are relevant in a zone. Time windows, dwell time and direction of movement help align alerts with your task. We coordinate the appropriate rules with your camera views and analytics.
How does a vision language model help?
A vision language model (VLM) evaluates visible content in context. Vaidio Vista can additionally verify selected detections and give your team more context for an alert. You define which events require this verification for your use case.
How does this become an alert or workflow?
Define which event should trigger an alert, a human review or a handover to a connected system. Your team receives image evidence and event context. Routing follows your processes and available interfaces.

Five levels of VMS integration
From alert handover to object search directly within the VMS.
Vaidio documents integrations with more than 30 video management systems. The exact scope of functions depends on the partner, version and integration level.
- 01
Send alerts
Your connected system receives detected events so that your team can respond.
- 02
Retrieve video
Retrieve existing video footage from the recorder or VMS to review an incident.
- 03
Connect both
Connect alert handover and video retrieval so image evidence and the alert remain together.
- 04
Search as a VMS tab
Open search directly within your VMS interface without switching applications.
- 05
Object search in the VMS
Search for objects within the VMS interface when the integration supports this level.

Frequently Asked Questions
Vaidio in brief.
What is the Vaidio AI Vision Platform?
Vaidio is a modular enterprise platform for live and recorded video. It combines 21 AI engines and more than 3,000 trained objects with rules, search and interfaces to turn camera images into actionable information.
Does Vaidio work with existing cameras?
Yes, provided your cameras meet the technical requirements. According to the manufacturer, almost all ONVIF-compliant IP cameras are suitable. Before deployment, we assess image quality, perspective, frame rate, network and compute resources using your real scenes.
Does Vaidio analyse live video, recorded video or both?
You can analyse live camera streams and search recorded footage. Real-time analytics detect events and trigger alerts. Historical video from suitable sources is also available for investigation.
Which video analytics does Vaidio offer?
Choose analytics for security, access, operations, traffic, healthcare or forensic search. You can combine intrusion, vehicle and visitor analytics, for example. The overview on this page shows capabilities by application area.
How does Vaidio improve video analytics accuracy?
Object-specific AI engines complement motion analysis and select suitable individual frames. Configure thresholds for the scene so relevant people and objects can be distinguished more reliably from leaves, animals and other sources of false alerts.
How fast is forensic video search?
The manufacturer states that search responses take under two seconds. Actual result speed depends on the data volume, infrastructure, configuration and type of search.
Where can Vaidio run?
You can use edge devices, your own servers, Kubernetes or a cloud, hybrid or SaaS architecture. We select the operating model according to camera count, data paths and availability. If you want local processing, we assess the appropriate on-premise installation.
How many cameras can Vaidio scale to?
According to the manufacturer, the platform scales from individual cameras through thousands of channels to distributed networks with tens of thousands of cameras. The number of channels a system can process depends on analytics, resolution, frame rate, hardware and high-availability requirements. We therefore size the architecture for your specific needs.
How is Vaidio procured and sized?
The software is available for suitable server hardware or as a preconfigured or project-specific Video Search Appliance. Before selecting equipment, Synaedge sizes GPU and server performance based on your analytics, cameras, resolutions and operating requirements.
Which VMS and NVR systems can be integrated?
You can connect many widely used VMS and NVR systems. Depending on the system and version, alert handover, video retrieval or directly integrated object search may be available. Before the project, we determine which of the five integration levels your environment supports.
Can Vaidio report events without someone monitoring video continuously?
Yes. You receive an alert with image or video context as soon as a suitably configured event occurs. Define the object, person, zone and event type so your team can review relevant cases. Connected systems can also receive the alert.
Does Vaidio support GDPR-compliant use?
You can configure role-based permissions, person and face pixelation, and retention periods. Lawful use also depends on purpose, legal basis, data paths and organisational measures. We consider these requirements before the solution goes into operation.
Does Vaidio encrypt or store the original video?
According to the manufacturer, the platform does not modify or encrypt the source video; it creates metadata during analysis. Recorded video generally remains at the source, such as the VMS, NVR or storage medium. Their security and encryption design therefore forms part of the overall architecture.
How long does installation take?
The manufacturer states that basic installation and configuration typically take about one hour. Before production use, camera and network checks, sizing, rules, integration, data protection, testing and acceptance follow. The project duration therefore depends on your environment.
Is Vaidio suitable for critical infrastructure and public authorities?
Synaedge recommends Vaidio for critical infrastructure and public authorities when mature standard analytics and documentable integrations are required. We review evidence, architecture, roles and operating model for the specific project so the solution fits your requirements.
How does Vaidio differ from SynaEYE and SynaHUB?
Vaidio offers a broad enterprise portfolio for real-time video analytics. SynaEYE is our European platform for continuous camera analytics and operational events. SynaHUB handles periodic visual inspection jobs when real-time monitoring is not required.
How does a Vaidio project start?
First, we clarify the use case, cameras, scenes, success criteria, integrations and response paths with you. Once feasibility has been confirmed, a pilot with real data follows. We then extend the solution to further areas in a controlled way.
